Motors Technician
About The Position
Help maintain, troubleshoot, repair electric chain hoist, hand operated hoist, power distribution systems and assemble power distribution products under supervision of the department lead. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job under direct supervision of the Motor Department Lead. Attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy to ensure production at expected quality and quantity levels. Lifting and physical labor is required. The Physical Requirements Checklist for this position is attached and is incorporated into this position description.
Requirements
- Familiarity with soldering, use of a multimeter and use of standard tools
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform general assembly techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Basic knowledge of 3 phase electrical systems.
- Ability to read basic wiring diagrams.
- High school diploma.
- Tech school
- Some experience working with electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Check, maintain, troubleshoot, repair electric chain hoist, hand operated hoist and power distribution systems used in a demanding market.
- Follow procedures and diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Operate test equipment when needed.
- Required to solder and de-solder wires and electronic components.
- Maintain a working knowledge of regulations and safety policies to ensure duties are performed in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
