About The Position

The Department of Environmental Services (DES)
[https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/DES]is seeking Motorized
Vehicle Operators (MVO II) to join our team!  This position is in the Operations
section of the Solid Waste Bureau (SWB) which provides recycling, composting and
cleanliness services for Arlington County.  Employees will be required to
operate various types of equipment and vehicles to include but not limited to
the following:

Pick-up trucks towing a 6-12 foot trailer;
Rear-loading refuse collection trucks for litter collection and other
programs supported by the SWB;
Small to medium-sized dump trucks for delivering mulch;
Vacuum leaf collection vehicles; and 
Micro-equipment such as mini street sweepers.
