About The Position

Drive the Campus Community Forward with the Parking and Transportation Services Team! Join our team as a Part-time Shuttle Driver and make a meaningful impact by keeping our campus connected. In this role, you'll: Provide reliable and friendly shuttle service within and between campuses. Keep our vehicles clean, safe, and ready to go with regular inspections and maintenance. Offer vital transportation support for students with disabilities. If you enjoy helping others, value safety, and want to be part of a dynamic team, this is the job for you! The schedule includes standard hours of Monday - Friday 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. This position is defined as safety-sensitive, and as such, is subject to alcohol and drug testing under the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991. Departmental Operating Needs If offered the position, you will be required to provide your driver's license information to enable participation in the License Event Notification Service (LENS) and Clearinghouse for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Requirements

  • Individuals must possess a New York State CDL Class A, B, or C license, with Passenger (P) Endorsement for 25 passengers
  • You are required to create a Clearinghouse account as part of your application.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating a passenger bus or shuttle in a campus or public transit setting.
  • Familiarity with assisting individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
