About The Position

Valiant is looking for a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Perform intermediate and direct support level maintenance for commercial/civilian vehicles and equipment. Provide general and direct support for ATVs, small engines, light towers, generators and trailers. Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals for identifying maintenance faults and repairs. Perform maintenance at maintenance shop and in the field. Operate recovery vehicles such as car hauler or wrecker. Operate forklift and tractor. Work in various weather conditions. Work weekends and shift work. Follow all environmental and safety rules. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

3+ years’ experience as a general mechanic on civilian/domestic vehicles.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.

Nice To Haves

Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must possess a valid La Class D chauffeur’s license or obtain one within the first 90 days of hire to maintain employment.
Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
