About The Position
Valiant is looking for a Mechanic Helper to join our team! ESSENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists the Role Play Motor Pool Coordinator in all actions concerning the maintenance, use, service, and accountability of over 150 GFE vehicles monthly. Performs a variety of tasks such as washing, cleaning, and lubricating vehicles. Changes and repairs flat tires, replaces burned out light bulbs, ensures proper fluid levels are maintained. Loads, unloads, and stores automotive parts and supplies. Maintains work areas and motor pool. Supervises other employees with proper preventive maintenance checks and services. Routinely uses military forms and military maps. Frequently uses mobile radio communications. Other duties as required consistent with this occupational specialty. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Functional abilities with automotive repairs and services.
- Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Must be available to work irregular hours and weekends on a routine and consistent basis.
- Individual must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an automotive mechanic or assistant or previous Military experience working in battalion-size (or equivalent) motor pool and maintenance operation.
