The Motor Vehicle Administrative Tech position provides the opportunity to join a fun and dedicated team of public servants helping residents of Jefferson County with 5 star reviews. This position is a great fit for someone who is energetic, enjoys working with the public and is a team player looking for a part-time position. Spanish or other foreign language skills and/or experience working with individuals from various cultures and communities is highly valued. SCHEDULE: This position requires on-site/in-office work for weekly shifts scheduled during our 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday, 7am-5:30 pm). Availability to occasionally work at any of the motor vehicle offices is a plus but will be assigned to one branch as work location (Arvada, Lakewood, Golden or Littleton). COMPENSATION: Target Hiring Range: $18.00 - $20.00 USD Hourly Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills. Additional compensation for Spanish bilingual skills is available. BENEFITS: Please note that this is a temporary, non-benefited position scheduled to work approximately 20-30 hours per week. There is no holiday pay. Employees are able to earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service
  • Ability to articulate clearly and effectively to diverse residents, including those of various ages, language skills, computer knowledge and familiarity with government offices.
  • Experience with Windows 11/Microsoft 365

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish or other foreign language skills and/or experience working with individuals from various cultures and communities is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting residents as they enter the office, answering questions and directing for next steps as needed.
  • Using office software to check in, create and cancel appointments for residents as needed.
  • Providing excellent customer service to the public either in-person, by phone, or via email as needed.
  • Helping individuals obtain proper forms, information about related services (emissions, Drivers License, etc.) and navigate available online and kiosk services.
  • Provide additional administrative support to office leadership team as needed, such as processing incoming mail, organizing inventory, and similar tasks.
