Motor Pool - Technician/Mechanic
About The Position
This is skilled/technical mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of automotive and related equipment. An employee in this class has responsibility for the performance of skilled/technical mechanical repairs and maintenance of automobiles, trucks, tractors and related equipment. The employee may lead other workers in accomplishing assigned tasks. Communicates with other departments regarding county vehicles and equipment. Assists with recordkeeping and general operation of the county motor pool. The employee works under general supervision, using independent judgment concerning the repair of a piece of equipment.
Requirements
- Eight years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship.
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Comemercial Deriver's License (CDL).
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania State Inspection License.
