About The Position

Municipal Mosquito is a locally-owned company delivering integrated mosquito management services for cities and municipalities across North Texas. Since 2006, we’ve specialized in responsible, science-based control strategies that emphasize public health and safety. As we gear up for our busy season, we’re hiring Vector Control Technicians to be on the front lines of our mission. This is not residential pest control. This is public service work — the kind of job where your effort helps prevent disease, protect families, and make summer more livable for hundreds of thousands of people. Part time and Full time positions are available.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Comfortable working outdoors for extended hours in extreme conditions (heat, tall grass, humidity, and active field environments)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow protocols and log data consistently
  • Professional attitude and sense of pride representing the company in the field
  • Experience in commercial pest control, field service, route work, or driving-based roles is a plus (not required)
  • Willingness to learn — full training is provided

Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles along assigned service routes in city parks, greenbelts, and residential zones to conduct trapping, surveillance, and apply mosquito control products.
  • Use hand-held or truck-mounted spray equipment to safely and effectively reduce mosquito populations.
  • Follow detailed instructions for application timing, safety protocols, and municipal reporting requirements.
  • Keep accurate service logs and treatment documentation — we train you on everything.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment and vehicles.
  • Interact professionally with community members or city officials if approached during your routes.
  • Work overtime and irregular shifts during peak season (June–October) — sometimes early mornings or late evenings.
  • Uphold high safety standards and participate in team meetings, maintenance, and ongoing training.
