Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or experience coupled with education.
Proven experience in mortgage underwriting or related financial roles.
Strong knowledge of mortgage servicing, financial concepts, and risk analysis.
Familiarity with technical accounting principles and equity research.
Ability to collect and analyze data effectively for decision-making.
Excellent financial acumen and understanding of banking operations.

Responsibilities

Analyze and assess credit reports, income, assets, and liabilities to make informed lending decisions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Review appraisal reports to confirm property values meet lending standards.
Communicate with loan officers, processors, and other relevant parties to clarify information and resolve issues.
Provide recommendations on loan approvals or denials based on thorough analysis.
