About The Position

As a Mortgage Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of mortgage sales professionals. Your primary focus will be coaching, mentoring, and driving sales performance while ensuring team members follow compliance and company standards. You will play a critical role in bridging upper management goals with day-to-day team execution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of mortgage sales experience (as a Loan Officer or sales manager preferred).
  • Active NMLS license
  • Proven ability to lead and coach sales teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
  • Solid understanding of mortgage processes and loan products (FHA, VA, Conventional, etc.).
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding personal and team sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Loan Officers and/or Mortgage Prequalification Specialists to meet or exceed production goals.
  • Monitor pipeline, activity levels, and conversion metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide hands-on training, sales coaching, and call reviews to support team development.
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure a smooth client experience from application to close.
  • Manage daily huddles, one-on-one performance meetings, and team development sessions.
  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding new sales team members as needed.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of mortgage products, guidelines, and market conditions.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to company policies, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
