About The Position

Assist members with loan application process and responsible for processing mortgage loans. Researches, compiles and inputs information necessary to assist in the accuracy of final documentation. Reviews approved mortgage loans to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing.

Requirements

• Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.
• Skill and ability to use and operate a keyboard (typewriter), computer, calculator, fax machine, copier and telephone.
• Skill and ability to read and understand financial statements, contracts, applications, computer printouts, manuals and other related materials.
• Must have the skill and ability to use Microsoft Word Adobe Acrobat, FoxIt and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing mortgage loans. Reviews residential loan application files and supporting documents to verify that application data is complete and meets credit union standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.
• Review approved mortgage loan to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing are satisfied.
• Works directly with Underwriters, members, loan officers and the title company taking a proactive approach to avoid delays in the closing.
• Contacts insurance agents, credit bureau and employer to verify accuracy of information.
