We are seeking a Mortgage Loan Operations Specialist to assist our loan production specialists with appraisal reviews, investor underwriting submissions, preliminary title review, and other tasks as needed; disburse loans we close locally; assist with the appraisal desk; complete portfolio loans for imaging; manage our stale check processes; and provide back-up to the mortgage loan servicer. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years professional office experience
  • Knowledge of Mortgage loan processes
  • Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
  • Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion

Responsibilities

  • Monitor loan pipeline and follow up on upcoming lock expirations
  • Prepare closing documents and support day-of-close activities
  • Communicate with loan originators, closing agents, title companies, and attorneys
  • Resolve outstanding documentation with closing partners
  • Assist with recording and filing documents
  • Manage loan funding and disbursements
  • Return final documents to borrowers after closing
  • Coordinate appraisal orders and ensure policy compliance
  • Review preliminary title work and identify issues
  • Provide backup support for appraisal functions
