About The Position

The Mortgage Loan Processor assists the Credit Union in achieving our mission to provide service that exceeds our members' expectations by earning members' trust through cooperative relationships. This is achieved by providing outstanding service to members. A vital component of this service is identifying members' financial needs and offering a Credit Union solution to improve their financial lives. In addition, you will greet members as they enter the office, resolve problems, and answer questions covering the entire spectrum of Innovations FCU's products and services. To assist members with their mortgage loan application process and make loan disbursements.

  • 2-year college degree, or;
  • Completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or;
  • Completion of technical training courses conducted by vendors, or;
  • Job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program

Responsibilities

  • Call specified companies to obtain property abstract, survey, insurance, and appraisal; informs supervisor of any discrepancies (20%)
  • Records data on the status of loans, maintains legible notes regarding files, provides status updates as needed, and tracks HMDA. Maintains loan files (20%)
  • Inputs loan documentation with zero errors. Pays close attention to details and deadlines (20%)
  • Reviews residential loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets credit union standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment. Enters pertinent loan information in Symitar System (20%)
  • Verifies accuracy of information provided by applicants (5%)
  • Closes Home Equity loans as needed (5%)
  • Understands and adheres to all compliance issues, completing training as required and related to the position (5%)
  • Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with established dress code guidelines. (2%)
  • Regular and predictable attendance. (2%)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. (1%)
