Requirements

• Proven experience as a mortgage loan originator or in a similar sales role within the mortgage industry
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lending procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to analyze financial information and assess creditworthiness
• Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in loan origination software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid NMLS license or the ability to obtain one as required by state regulations

Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective clients to assess their financial situation and determine suitable mortgage options
• Explain loan products, terms, and conditions clearly to clients
• Gather and review necessary documentation to process loan applications
• Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other team members to ensure smooth loan approval and closing
• Maintain a pipeline of clients and follow up to ensure timely processing
• Stay informed about current mortgage rates, lending policies, and industry regulations
• Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources
