The Mortgage Lending Product Manager drives the strategic path of the mortgage lending platforms. Focused on enhancing the lending experience in terms of service, products and technological advancements, including automation, and will be involved in scoping of projects. Interacts with lending analysts, operations, management and senior management, prioritizing needs as well as managing backlog. Attends symposiums, networking, building relationships, identifying valuable industry leading technologies and determining path to adoption. Builds relationships and influences vendor’s strategic teams. Builds and analyzes reports for benchmarking in addition to creating and maintain workflow diagrams. All back-office positions require making decisions within established guidelines; embracing the willingness to work within a sales environment; and becoming a team leader in an organization that values the spirit of teamwork.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is preferred.
  • Formal training should be supplemented with continuing education and self-development programs.
  • Designing, enhancing and delivering industry leading solutions
  • Remain current of legal and of regulatory items: Reg Z, TRID, HMDA, Reg B.
  • Familiarity with GSE Secondary Markets
  • Possess versatility and flexibility to successfully serve as a backup to other positions.
  • Possess the creativity required to successfully complete assigned duties.
  • In depth knowledge with configuration and capability of lending industry platforms and familiarity with SQL and general understanding of relational database design.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and manage maintenance, issue resolutions and system enhancement
  • Manage business analyst execution throughout process.
  • Interact with operations, vendors, user groups, industry leaders and members
  • Define product vision and manage product road map
  • Study industry trends
  • Identify and apply cutting edge technology within lending setting
  • Establish industry relationships and partnerships
  • Network via user groups and travel to onsite visits
