A Look into Your Day
As a Mortgage Construction and Post-Closing Specialist at Mercantile Bank in Alma, MI, you will play a vital role in the residential mortgage loan process. Your responsibilities will include preparing and disbursing funds for construction draws, tracking and reviewing closing packages and collaborating with the secondary market team to ensure loans are delivered to investors promptly and accurately. You will utilize various systems and tools to transmit files, prepare HUD binders for insuring, activate PMI policies, disburse loans, and monitor construction disbursements. Additionally, you will provide exceptional customer service by interacting with internal teams, title companies, customers and settlement agents to exceed service expectations.

What We're Looking For

Requirements

• 1-3 Years experience in banking or mortgage operations and closing
• A high school diploma or GED
• strong verbal and written communication skills will be essential for interacting with customers and internal teams effectively.
• passion for delivering excellent customer service and proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software tools will set you up for success in this role.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to resolving issues will be key traits to ensure accuracy and efficiency in handling post-closing tasks.
