About The Position

This position is responsible for protecting the safety and soundness of mortgage closings for assigned clients.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software and ability to use word processing software.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must be able to be bonded.
  • 3 years experience in Mortgage Lending, most of which is in closing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate closing documents in a timely fashion for assigned clients.
  • Review and approve closing disclosures.
  • Request wire from credit union client with accuracy and in a timely fashion, if no funder
  • Maintains an average of no less than 3 closing packages prepared per work day with minimal overtime.
  • Prepare accurate funding’s daily to insure timely disbursements of loans, if no funder
  • Review files that are in the ‘to closer” milestone for all pertinent documentation required
  • Review closing conditions and clear as applicable
  • Make follow up calls as needed to title companies on settlement statement deliver times.
  • Give funding approval to title companies after receipt & review of funding documents
  • Post closing, follow up on closing documents as needed for delivery on the secondary market, if requested by post closing.
  • Always deliver the WOW factor in service to all customers, internal and external
  • Promotes honest and open communication throughout the company.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union’s values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
  • Work with other credit union departments to ensure the workflow or process is providing the best service to the members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
