About The Position

Assists with the technical and non-technical aspects of cardiac monitoring of patients over age 18 who are on telemetry. Troubleshoots the monitoring equipment, is knowledgeable in all of the functions of monitoring equipment, recognizes heart rhythms, communicates changes in heart rhythms, and prepares the patients for monitoring. Requirements

• Completed course work in a medically related field such as nursing assistant, medical assistant, nursing, EMT, paramedic, respiratory care, or rhythm interpretation. OR Experience in a health-related field.
• Must pass basic heart rhythms test (90% is passing) within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to work the following schedule: 24 hours per week 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) Every third weekend and participation in a holiday rotation
