About The Position

Duties: Demonstrates competency with rhythm strip interpretation. Immediately notifies RN and/or physician of any life threatening arrythmias. Notifies RN of changes in patient rhythm. Demonstrates competency in activating emergency code system. Able to Place calls to physicians Posts rhythm strips each shift as per policy and procedure Demonstrates competency in CPRS documentation Assists physicians and nurses with CPRS documentation as necessary. Completes extra duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• 6 months to 1 year experience in a healthcare setting in basic ecg and arythmia interpretation.
• BLS - AHA approved

Nice To Haves

• Certification in EKG preferred
