About The Position

Under the supervision of an RN, performs telemetry monitoring. Reports to: Director of Critical Care Unit/Stepdown FLSA: Non-exempt Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required License: N/A Certifications: Handle with Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire/transfer Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Essential Functions Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors. Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts. Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Tests equipment for proper working order. Requirements
