About The Position

Responsible and accountable for observation of all monitors in the central monitoring station, this includes 3 A-B-C-D, 4AB, 4CD, 5AB, 5CD, 6AB, 6CD; MICU, reporting any abnormalities, obtaining, routing, documenting, and accurately defining rhythm strips. Performs ECG tests on patients as assigned.

Requirements

HSD or equivalent with completion of formal cardiac rhythm identification training including EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or a. Completed one year of the associate degree program in cardiovascular technology or have a minimum of 1 year experience in performing EKGs with the ability to recognize arrhythmias and/ or Telemetry Monitoring experience.
Successfully completes an arrhythmia test, with a 80% overall including 100% on the fatal arrhythmia section.
Must be willing to work flexible hours
Physical requirements: a. visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable; b. ability to hear (with or without aides) c. ability to orally communicate d. good manual dexterity e. ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 30 pounds occasionally f. ability to stand, walk frequently g. ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently; and h. ability to perform CPR (if a required for position).
