About The Position
Responsible for watching the oscilloscope which displays EKG signals, to record EKG tracing and to operate the computer and keyboard. Position requires prolonged viewing in a restricted setting of cardiac monitors. All duties are performed in accordance with hospital and Patient Services Policies and Procedures and professional standards of care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Nice To Haves
- Prefer previous monitor technician experience.
Responsibilities
- Documents, records and reports rhythm strips.
- Records rhythm strips and operates telemetry equipment appropriately.
- Maintains proper function of equipment.
- Maintains telemetry log book.
- Answers phone and routes messages to appropriate personnel.
- Provides additional departmental support.
