About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Molecular Genetics Technologist to join our dynamic team in Denver, Colorado. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of molecular genetic techniques and assays to support our clinical and research efforts. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting.
  • Proficiency with PCR, qPCR, and nucleic acid extraction.
  • Certification as a Molecular Genetic Technologist or similar credential.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Prior experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Perform DNA and RNA extraction from various biological samples.
  • Conduct PCR, qPCR, and other molecular genetic assays for diagnostic and research purposes.
  • Analyze and interpret molecular data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of procedures, results, and findings.
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new molecular assays and techniques.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to molecular genetic assays and instrumentation.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in molecular genetics and related technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
