Job Summary: The Molding Supervisor is responsible for auditing work processes and ensuring the safety, quality, and timely completion of all activities of their teams, while guiding, developing, and mentoring front line leaders in the continuous improvement of their job performance and skill sets. The Molding Supervisor should proactively pursue the vision established for the area and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation. Essential Job Functions: Utilize proven assembly practices and SRI operational system disciplines to: Comprehend company policies and develop them into the working environment Control production levels by maintaining molding schedule board Communicate management information effectively to all levels of the department. Develop close working relationships with cross functional teams to improve Molding Support Maintenance and Mold Repair within the department to achieve PMs on time Resolve problems with production and human relations professionally in a timely manner. Constantly stive to improve the labor efficiency of all jobs and maintain accurate time keeping for the department. Develop and improve “visual control” to improve employee understanding Foster a culture of development through cross training and accountability Lead and support teams in to eliminate waste in our processes. (startups, C/O, scrap) Act as a mentor for all employees. Work with other supervisors to develop and maintain high levels of communication Provide information to teams through SMQDC (Safety, Morale, Quality, Delivery, &, Cost) for analysis and team planning and challenge team members to develop improvement initiatives through the following activities: Safety Immediately respond to all safety issues and concerns Daily audit and immediately respond to PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements. Act as a role model for PPE rule adherence Coach and counsel team towards achieving Safety goals and targets Track and report status of safety initiatives and support follow-up Conduct weekly safety audit walk-through with the Team Leader Support Team Leader in completing the monthly Safety Talk Support training needs of team members Quality Track and report daily quality performance to team Communicate weekly Quality Indicators to team and Team Leader Challenge team members to attain highest possible quality standards Master the quality requirements of every job on team (checking parts, quality check routes, etc.) Enable Practical Problem-Solving Process and support initiatives to solve/prevent quality defects Complete audits with team leader (LPA, 5S, cycle times etc.) Lead and support Standardized Work initiatives Motivate team to develop Error/Mistake Proofing Initiatives Delivery Promote and Support throughput improvements Communicate daily customer requirements and track/report daily delivery requirements Provide needed resources and support for Line Balancing and Workstation Optimization initiatives Monitor and track machine cycle times. Daily audit and tracking of performance requirements. Support team in rapid and effective root-cause identification and problem solving. Cost : Track and report cost goals and targets to team (OME, Scrap, tooling, overtime) and support/challenge development of team cost-saving initiatives. Empower team to identify and eliminate waste. Morale : Issue and comply with consistent discipline. Review and reconcile daily overtime. Develop and maintain training matrix. Ensure Operator Training Checklist is completed and returned to HR for record retention. Enable team to hold team meetings. Encourage and support implementation of employee suggestion submissions Recognize team members for initiatives Other functions and responsibilities: This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions. Requirements

  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office products
  • Safety system competency
  • Minimum Education required: Associate degree in Business, Manufacturing, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • 2 years of previous leadership or supervisory experience
