Requirements

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Must be able to work well with others and in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to safely remove molded parts from hot presses.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible with work schedules and work overtime as required.
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and be an active participant in training.
  • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or one-year equivalent experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Experience operating hand tools a plus.
  • Capable of growing in knowledge and demonstrating competency in your job.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety guidelines, practices, and procedures. This includes the proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
  • Consistently meet production schedule plan and attainment goals by efficiently removing molded parts from press, deflashing, and cutting sprue off, as needed.
  • Start and shutdown assigned press. Able to identify and correct any press problems as they occur.
  • Ability to learn different equipment/operations and able to rotate to all workstations within the area.
  • Maintain a constant visual on parts produced and perform visual quality audits to determine all surfaces are within standards. Communicate product quality issues to appropriate parties.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Always maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstation areas.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Targeted reduction in waste of all forms (time, materials, labor).
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, group leads and business unit managers.
  • Ability to use hand tools, hammer, pick, pry bar, putty knife, utility knife, pin gauges, flex arm, etc.
  • Creating and continually improving upon a culture of teamwork, accountability, and trust by modeling expectations and providing positive feedback to drive desired behaviors.
  • Documenting and submitting performance reporting as required.
  • Gaining knowledge and keeping up to date on safety and quality regulatory notices.
  • Responsible for maintaining regular and reliable attendance and punctuality per company policies and procedures.
  • Performing other duties, as assigned.
