Job Description On-site regular, reliable attendance is required. The job function will include understanding the basic operation of the molding machines and all support equipment. After training, the individual will be able to run molding machines and interpret common machine error messages and restart production after resolving the problem. Provide assistance to the Molding Set-Up Person or Technician when needed. Responsible for keeping all pertinent records and documentation accurate and current. Observe all department safety policies. Check equipment guards and safety devices to make sure in working condition. Perform visual and dimensional quality checks to ensure production requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Mechanical skills will be required to the extent of understanding and possessing the ability to use all common hand tools including the use of common measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers).
  • Candidates must be able to lift 55 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the basic operation of the molding machines and all support equipment.
  • Run molding machines and interpret common machine error messages and restart production after resolving the problem.
  • Provide assistance to the Molding Set-Up Person or Technician when needed.
  • Keeping all pertinent records and documentation accurate and current.
  • Observe all department safety policies.
  • Check equipment guards and safety devices to make sure in working condition.
  • Perform visual and dimensional quality checks to ensure production requirements are met.
  • Perform reel changes as needed.
  • Material handling, in the form of raw material or finished product, is required.
  • Grinding of the runners and mixing of the virgin material and regrind may be required.
  • Keeping the Molding Dept. work area organized and clean, doing the necessary housekeeping to do so.
