Role Responsibilities: Review work order and determine descriptions match analytical format. Notify lead/supervisor of any discrepancies. Verify counts are accurate with exact counts from the work order transferring down to the next process. Document pertinent information on the work order (i.e. scrap, quality concerns, etc.) Facilitate “hot” orders that come through your area from other areas of business. Use mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to assemble products Test equipment when necessary Material Handling and Transportation of Product Perform quality inspection and fill out necessary paperwork for record Package and crate assembled products and load for shipment Perform other tasks as directed Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures Work Safely and comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required Active involvement in DPS through continuous improvement and kaizen events Assist other departments as assigned Successfully complete annual RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT Hazardous Material Training (if applicable)

Requirements

  • Work safely
  • For internal positions, no written warnings (within 12 months)
  • Material Handling with forklifts, cranes, carts, etc.
  • Display mechanical aptitude
  • Quality conscious
  • Ability to read blueprints, and understand verbal and written instructions
  • Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a steady paced work environment
