Mold Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Summary The Mold Technician performs mold changes and set-ups on injection molding and related machines. Also, sets up equipment and fixtures. This person is responsible for coordination and moving materials to machines. Will stage materials for upcoming production runs. Will clean dryers and grinders from completed runs.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical aptitude with prior applicable mechanical experience
- Ability to frequently lift materials averaging 50 pounds
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with engineers, maintenance staff, and machine operators
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as production demands require
Responsibilities
- Perform mold changes and machine setups alongside a Process Technician
- Execute machine shutdowns and purging procedures to prevent contamination
- Set up auxiliary equipment during changeovers (air tools, date stamps, conveyors, etc.)
- Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting, including cleaning nozzle tips, water lines, and machines
- Stage materials for upcoming production runs
- Clean dryers and grinders after completed runs
- Operate a lift truck
- Complete required documentation (Set-Up Checklists, setup logbooks, etc.)
- Ensure all machines are set according to the Process Book
- Maintain tool condition and follow tool repair/maintenance procedures
- Uphold 5S standards throughout the work area
