Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 2-years’ experience performing similar job duties in a mold maintenance or related environment.
  • Basic experience operating mold tool room equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinding machines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Basic proficiency with design software such as CATIA, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
  • Must be able to rotate shifts (Day or Night) and work overtime if needed.
  • Self-motivated, confident and proactive.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a two-year technical or trade school program with an emphasis on mold making preferred.
  • Experience operating forklift and cranes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and assist with basic repairs on molds under supervision
  • Perform mold setting in accordance with all safety guidelines.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and basic repairs on molds, maintaining accurate records using e-maintenance software.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair tooling problems on the production floor.
  • Execute model changes on molds as required.
  • Assemble and disassemble all components involved in the mold repair process, including hot runner systems.
  • Utilize various measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Operate milling machines, welders, EDM, CNC milling machines, manual and automatic grinders, polishing machines, and related tools.
  • Support the training and development of mold maintenance apprentices.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Complete and maintain safety checklists for equipment such as cranes and forklifts.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production delivery dates.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
