About The Position

As a MOHS Surgery Nurse, you will be integral in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing MOHS surgery, a specialized procedure for skin cancer treatment. This role involves working closely with the surgical team to ensure smooth procedures and the highest standard of care before, during, and after surgery, fostering a supportive and safe environment for patients.

Requirements

Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Previous experience in a surgical, dermatology, or MOHS setting

Responsibilities

Assist the surgeon during MOHS procedures, ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are ready and organized.
Provide direct patient care, including preoperative assessments, monitoring vital signs, and postoperative care.
Educate patients about the MOHS procedure, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records following compliance standards.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and patient management throughout the surgical process.
Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
