What You Will Do This is a Weekend Shift 2 Opportunity. this is Friday - Sunday ( 3 x12 hour shifts) 6pm - 6:30am Friday - Sunday This position is designed to give individuals with little or no machining or assembly experience the skills they need to become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney. Employees selected for this position will participate in 4-8 weeks of the on the job training. Learn to perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs and a variety of similar assemblies. Learn to work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to complete tasks. Learn to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Obtain operator Certification to be able to accept/reject parts. Learn to maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM) Learn to work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production personnel or others to resolve assembly problems and assist in part process development. This position will reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities. Work instructions are available in English only. We’ve introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 + years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience
  • Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
