INTRODUCTION The Modification Supervisor is responsible for directing, monitoring, and controlling all structural and composite work associated with aircraft undergoing repair or modification within the Repair Station. This role oversees the Modification Lines and serves as the primary liaison with customers regarding modification projects. The Modification Supervisor coordinates closely with the A&P Leads and Avionics Leads assigned to the modification lines to ensure production timelines, quality standards, and project objectives are met. The Modification Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained to support the varying workloads associated with each project within the Repair Station. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the Repair Station Manual, customer maintenance policies, manufacturer manuals, applicable technical data, Federal Aviation Regulations, and all applicable state and local regulations. 2. Supervise and coordinate modification line activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with production schedules. 3. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment by enforcing good housekeeping practices and ensuring proper control, tagging, and storage of parts, tools, equipment, and shop supplies. 4. Promote and enforce safety awareness by identifying, correcting, and reporting unsafe conditions, hazardous practices, or defective equipment to the Production Manager. 5. Coordinate and prioritize work between shifts, ensuring proper shift turnover and effective communication of work in progress to incoming technicians. 6. Serve as a liaison between Production, Quality, and customers to ensure accurate communication regarding project status, inspection requirements, airworthiness concerns, and production schedules. 7. Ensure adequate staffing and supervision of modification lines by scheduling personnel, assigning Lead Technicians, and adjusting manpower to meet workload and project requirements. 8. Monitor and manage labor hours and project budgets, providing daily staffing and labor reports while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity. 9. Coordinate with Stores, Quality, and other departments to ensure required parts, materials, tooling, and inspection resources are available to support production timelines. 10. Assist the Production Manager with employee performance management, evaluations, budget planning, and other operational responsibilities necessary to support Repair Station objectives. 11. Other duties as assigned.
