About The Position

The Modern Workspaces Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization's endpoint environment to deliver optimal user experience. This role focuses on leveraging automation, enforcing standardization, and applying secure management practices for a wide range of devices and platforms, including desktops, laptops, and mobile endpoints. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment, configuration, and support of endpoint solutions, while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance reliability, efficiency, and security across the enterprise. Key responsibilities also include staying current with emerging technologies and best practices to support modern workplace initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant technical experience.
  • Associate’s degree required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows (All current supported versions) based personal computer and application software - MS Office all versions, MS Project, MS Visio, MS Exchange all versions, Internet Browser applications, Cisco VPN, Intune.
  • Ability to work in collaborative environment with extremely strong customer service skills.

  • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail and the ability to follow up in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to support corporate applications with Vendor and team support.
  • Knowledge of ticket-based support systems
  • Familiar with PC imaging software / process.
  • Familiar with configuration of Cellular devices.
  • Working knowledge of RF scanning systems in an industrial environment
  • General knowledge of Ethernet, Wi-Fi networks
  • Ability to manage assigned projects to completion.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Operating System Deployment and Automation: Utilize advanced tools such as Intune, SOTI, Workspace One, PDQ Deploy, and JAMF to automate and streamline the deployment of operating systems across all endpoints, ensuring speed, consistency, and minimal manual intervention.
  • Application Packaging and Deployment: Expertly package and deploy applications to all endpoint devices, guaranteeing reliable and consistent user experiences with every deployment.
  • Endpoint Analytics and Reporting: Proactively monitor and analyze critical device health and security metrics, partnering with the patch compliance team to track and advance update progress across the organization.
  • Image Management, Baseline Configuration, and Driver Updates: Oversee the creation and deployment of device images for vendor deployment, apply standardized baseline configurations, and maintain up-to-date drivers to ensure optimal device performance and security.
  • Policy Enforcement: Collaborate with InfoSec to design, implement, and manage robust compliance policies using tools like Intune and Conditional Access, including organization-wide endpoint encryption to protect sensitive data.
  • Platform Integration: Seamlessly integrate management platforms to centrally configure and manage all organizational endpoints, enhancing oversight and operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration with Key Teams: Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure organizational controls and policies are consistently and uniformly applied across the enterprise.
  • Innovation and Pilot Programs: Lead forward-thinking initiatives to advance the modern workplace, including piloting Windows 11 deployments, integrating AI co-pilot tools, and launching zero-touch provisioning programs.
