About The Position

You’ll be joining the WETS Product Group, a dynamic, cross-disciplinary engineering team focused on innovation and excellence in new product development for semiconductor advanced packaging. The WETS products group focuses primarily on liquid-based processing technologies. Our team thrives on collaboration, technical rigor, and creative problem-solving. We work closely with colleagues across the globe to tackle complex engineering challenges, using advanced modeling and simulation to drive the next generation of high-performance solutions. The impact you’ll make As a Modeling Engineer 3 in the WETS Product Group, your work will directly influence the design and advancement of our semiconductor capital equipment products for the advanced packaging field, both for wafers and panels. By applying advanced simulation techniques and engineering insight, you’ll help accelerate product development cycles, reduce costly iterations, and enable breakthrough innovations. Your contributions will shape critical design decisions, support global collaboration, and drive technical excellence across the organization. This is a high-visibility role where your expertise will make a measurable difference in the success of our products and the satisfaction of our customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in commercial simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL Multiphysics, or similar.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus).
  • Strong understanding of hydrodynamics and structural mechanics.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear technical reports and present complex findings to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a cross-functional, global team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience and expertise in electrochemical or electroplating systems is a great plus
  • Experience and expertise in field of microbubbles is a great plus
  • Experience with chemical reaction modeling and mass transport phenomena.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for simulation automation and data analysis.
  • Prior experience in semiconductor, energy, or advanced manufacturing industries.
  • Track record of published technical papers or granted patents in the field of modeling and simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Build Multiphysics models (Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element (FEA), Electric current and Electrochemical models) of complex reactor systems to support product and process development.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams across the US, Europe, and Asia to simulate and solve multi-physics problems.
  • Simulate process conditions including structural, flow, thermal, chemical reactions, and mass transport to inform and optimize design decisions.
  • Recommend design solutions based on simulation results and engineering analysis.
  • Develop and execute design of experiments (DOE) and conduct lab experiments to validate simulation results using quantitative metrics.
  • Own the full lifecycle of computational modeling projects—from problem definition and model development to result evaluation, documentation, and design implementation support.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including thermo-mechanical, fatigue (high and low cycle), and non-linear analysis to ensure mechanical design integrity.
  • Generate technical reports, publications, and presentations; communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of Intellectual Property (IP) through innovative modeling and simulation work.
