About The Position

Model Configuration and Data Manager Key Role: Creates processes, integrates, and applies interdisciplinary digital model configuration of products from concept throughout the product lifecycle. Applies advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members. Engineer model-based systems configuration and data management to support our client’s Digital Engineering mission. Advise with the government on the weapons ecosystem and Open System Architecture design approaches for new weapon concepts. Provide configuration processes and procedures for the oversight of development of digital models, engineering plans, and reports as needed to support this development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Digital Engineering and MBSE for DoD weapon systems
  • Experience with MBSE tools such as Magic Draw or Cameo, Sparx Enterprise Architect, IBM Rhapsody, Teamcenter, MATLAB, and Simulink, and processes to create and manage tailored MBSE artifacts that capture analysis and the resulting engineering decisions and trades made during acquisition and development
  • Experience with system engineering life cycle, including requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment for major DoD weapon systems
  • Experience with conducting model-based performance simulations to determine the impact of requirements changes on system performance and behaviors
  • Knowledge of WOSA design principles and technologies, DoD architecture standards and framework, and Agile systems engineering methods and tools
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, dynamic team environment, including internal staff, external contractors, and government clients, to increase the use of MBSE for client acquisition programs
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics

  • Knowledge of other system engineering disciplines, including configuration management and risk management
  • Knowledge of Agile Project Management
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
  • OCSMP Fundamental Certification
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
