About The Position

PeopleTec is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development of Next Generation Missile Defense system-level requirements. This position plays a key role in defining, analyzing, and managing requirements spanning the entire system life cycle - from concept development through testing and deployment. The role involves leading system-level requirements definition and traceability across multiple MDA and external programs, applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies using CAMEO Systems Modeler to create, integrate, and maintain a comprehensive multi-layered architecture. It also includes modeling and documenting system components, behaviors, and interfaces across multiple agencies to support the Next Generation Missile Defense architecture, capturing, analyzing, and validating functional and performance requirements, conducting trade-off analyses, and maintaining continuous traceability from mission objectives through test and deployment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, government stakeholders, and external partners is essential to ensure system alignment with strategic defense goals.

Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or MBSE (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Proven experience in systems engineering supporting missile defense or other complex defense systems.
Expertise with MBSE principles, SysML, and CAMEO Systems Modeler.
Strong understanding of MDA system architectures, lifecycle processes, and verification/validation.
Ability to translate high-level mission objectives into detailed technical requirements.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
An active DoD Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance is required to perform this work.
Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Master’s degree preferred.
