As a Mobility Technician , you’ll be the bridge between care and independence. Working alongside nurses and therapists, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping patients safely move, walk, and regain strength. Your support doesn’t just prevent injuries—it promotes confidence, dignity, and recovery. What You’ll Do Assist nursing and therapy teams with safe patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation . Perform mobility rounding to keep patients active and on track with their mobility goals. Use safe patient handling equipment— lifts, gait belts, slide sheets, Sara Stedy, Hoyer , and more. Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and PT/OT staff to ensure the right level of assistance for every patient. Encourage and promote early mobility for ICU, PCU, and Telemetry patients. Keep mobility equipment clean, functional, and ready to roll. Support fall prevention and safety initiatives across the unit. Educate patients and families on safe movement and the power of activity. Participate in team huddles to identify trends, celebrate progress, and remove barriers.
