Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in powertrain testing and development
  • Experience with conventional, hybrid-electric, or fully electric powertrains
  • Hands-on experience with dyno testing, vehicle testing, and instrumentation
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Experience developing test procedures and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling data interrogation
  • Automotive, heavy-duty vehicle, or powertrain systems
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Must be a U.S. Person

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with military ground vehicles (e.g., combat vehicles)
  • Familiarity with PLM tools (Teamcenter)
  • Experience with electrified propulsion systems (MGU, hybrid systems)
  • Exposure to test facility setup, commissioning, and operations

Responsibilities

  • Perform test and development of full powerpack systems (engine, transmission, MGU, cooling, air handling, final drive)
  • Evaluate multiple powerpack configurations on bench, dynamometer, and in-vehicle platforms
  • Develop and execute test procedures (build, instrumentation, installation, execution, post-processing, reporting)
  • Conduct validation & verification (V&V) and support design refinement and release
  • Diagnose issues, perform root cause analysis, and generate problem reports
  • Support technical data package (TDP) development and delivery
  • Interface with suppliers, test facilities, and internal engineering teams
  • Collaborate with systems engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and program leadership
  • Support program milestones, design reviews, and customer reporting
  • Analyze and interpret test data and 3D model outputs
  • Participate in facility operations (test setup, installation, commissioning)
  • Document test results, findings, and engineering recommendations
