JOB SUMMARY Capital Area Health Network’s Mobile Unit Driver will be responsible for driving the mobile unit to community events and other locations. A Class-A Commercial Driver’s License is required to operate our Mobile Unit, and the ability to provide preventative maintenance of the mobile unit is strongly desired.

Requirements

  • Customer Service-the individual must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to utilize these skills with internal and external customers
  • Confidentiality- the individual must be knowledgeable of the HIPAA guidelines and have the ability to keep all patient information confidential
  • Communication-the individual must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible- the individual must be able to work a flexible schedule and attend and support CAHN events outside of regular business hours.
  • Problem solving- the individual must possess excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Detailed Oriented- the individual must be able to easily observe details and make a quick and efficient analysis
  • Autonomous- the individual can work alone and manage tasks efficiently
  • Pro activeness – the individual analyzes problems and demonstrates initiative in solving without much direction.
  • Multi-task- the individual must be able to multi-task in a high stress, fast paced environment.
  • People Skills- the individual has excellent people skills which include listening and exercising patience.
  • Must have working knowledge of all road signs and other DMV markers and indicators.
  • Must have map reading and interpreting skills.
  • Punctual- the individual can be on time to work and to all CAHN functions.
  • Commitment-the individual must know and have the ability to commit to CAHN’s mission, vision and values.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must Have Valid Virginia Driver’s License with Class A CDL Endorsement
  • Excellent Driving Record

Responsibilities

  • Drive mobile unit to all CAHN events, maintenance appointments, inspections and the like.
  • Inspect the vehicle prior to events for basic operation functionality (tire pressure, lights brake function, mirror clarity, etc.).
  • Maintain vehicle fuel, oil levels and other fluid levels.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and free of trash at all times.
  • Keep the vehicle stocked with any equipment needed for events and alert appropriate personnel of any items needed in a timely fashion.
  • Keep track of inspection and decal due dates and inform appropriate personnel of pending due dates in a timely fashion.
  • Keep abreast of all OSHA compliance guidelines and alert appropriate personnel of any possible issues.
  • Report malfunctions to supervisor and other CAHN personnel as designated.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks.
  • Practice and ensure compliance with all the organization’s policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
