About The Position

The Mobile Site Director is responsible for directing and managing the daily operations of the Mobile Clubhouse. The Mobile Site Director is responsible for creating safe, fun, and engaging environments that bring a high-quality mobile Club experience directly to youth and teens that will emphasize innovative programming, youth program quality, mobile operations, administrative compliance, youth and community engagement, and promotion of mobile club programming in communities where a legacy site is not available for youth to attend.

Requirements

  • Six (6) + years of professional experience in Youth Development, Education or related field (if substituting for Bachelor's Degree)
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Clubs or similar organization, planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people, or equivalent experience.
  • Must possess a CDL or be willing to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire to operate the Mobile Club.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and direct club operations
  • Ability to recruit, supervise, train, and retain key employees
  • Manage and maintain a facility and develop community support of club operations and programs
  • Ability to handle crisis and to resolve conflicts, disputes or concerns in the club among staff, club members, volunteers or parents
  • Knowledge of the mission, objectives, programs of non-profit organizations and youth development services, preferably Boys & Girls Clubs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate staff
  • Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, volunteers, and community groups
  • P.C. Literate with knowledge of Microsoft Platforms

Responsibilities

  • Sets the vision and performance expectations for site programs, activities, and services that advance youth success and drive measurable Youth Development Outcomes.
  • Provides oversight and accountability for a healthy, safe environment by ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards for facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Drives operational excellence to ensure the site runs efficiently and delivers a consistently high-quality, engaging member experience.
  • Leads workforce planning and scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing levels and required coverage, including maintaining the 1:20 ratio.
  • Leads stakeholder communication with the community, staff, and families to ensure messaging is timely, clear, and accurate and supports member engagement.
  • Oversees the programming portfolio, setting priorities and expectations for innovative, high-impact experiences for youth.
  • Collaborates with local and organizational leadership, community partners, and school districts to establish and maintain mobile programming locations and related operating agreements.
  • Directs mobile route and program scheduling and establishes data governance for membership tracking, ensuring member files meet grant requirements and organizational protocols.
  • Leads audit readiness and quality assurance, ensuring required data is uploaded on schedule and that program rotations align to quarterly plans and deliver world-class experiences.
  • Provides fiscal leadership for site operations, including budget planning, monitoring, and resource allocation to maximize program impact.
  • Leads talent management for the site, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and team culture.
  • Leads site-level planning and execution for programs, services, and activities—setting goals, aligning resources, and monitoring outcomes to ensure objectives and member needs are met.
  • Produces and reviews routine performance reports (activities, attendance, participation) to drive continuous improvement and ensure accountability.
  • Accountable for ensuring the Mobile Club operates safely and in compliance with all traffic laws, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Establishes and oversees daily operating procedures for safety checks, fueling, and routing to maintain readiness and minimize service interruptions.
  • Directs escalation and resolution of mechanical and safety issues by coordinating with supervisors and maintenance partners and documenting corrective actions.
  • Oversees inventory management for mobile program supplies, technology, and materials, ensuring availability, stewardship, and cost control.
  • Ensures assets are stored securely, maintained, and replenished through defined processes and vendor/partner coordination as needed.
  • Sets expectations and accountability for responsible equipment use to prevent damage, loss, and downtime.
  • Leads outreach and engagement strategy to expand Club visibility, participation, and impact across neighborhoods.
  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships with families, community leaders, schools, and organizations to strengthen site operations, expand program opportunities, and increase community impact.
  • Provides strategic leadership and accountability for the design, delivery, continuous improvement, and outcomes of member programs, services, and activities.
  • Directs the development, approval, communication, and timely posting of weekly and monthly program plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and youth development outcomes.
  • Ensures program quality and member safety by setting expectations, monitoring performance, evaluating effectiveness, and enforcing required policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Champions a culture of belonging and achievement by establishing recognition practices that celebrate member participation, growth, and accomplishments.
  • Leads data integrity and accountability for attendance and participation tracking; ensures timely, accurate reporting in the member management database and uses insights to drive improvements.
  • Sets the instructional vision for inclusive, developmentally appropriate programming; coaches and supports staff to differentiate activities for young people with varied intellectual and artistic abilities, and provides direct instruction as needed.

  • Ensures innovative mobile programming is delivered to a high standard through planning, staff support, and ongoing quality review.
  • Travel daily to pre-determined locations to deliver the Mobile Club experience to youth.
  • Occasionally work weekends and holidays work at fairs and festivals.
  • Participate in training and professional opportunities to expand knowledge and skills
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support organizational priorities.
