This is a mobile service role supporting refuse, fire, and emergency apparatus customers throughout the Uniontown, PA and Morgantown, WV areas. Work is performed at customer locations with a fully equipped service vehicle. Requirements

Diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty trucks or refuse vehicles
Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on fire and emergency apparatus, including chassis, body systems, water pumps, electrical components, and engines
Operate and inspect equipment to identify problems and determine the most effective repair solution to return apparatus to safe operating condition
Inspect parts and components for damage or excessive wear using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment
Repair, rebuild, overhaul, or replace defective components such as gauges, air fittings, plumbing lines and valves, hydraulic lines, pumps, and basic engine components
Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation, efficiency, and safety before returning the apparatus to service
