About The Position

DBA Construction, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing various heavy equipment, trucks, and vehicle systems. This role involves inspecting and repairing components such as brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and engines. The mechanic will also perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions using testing devices, and utilize a variety of tools and equipment while adhering to safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Heavy diesel/truck mechanic
• Knowledge of shop equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented

• Skilled
• Reliable transportation

• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Pass a 7-year background check
• Have a clean driving record
• Have tools
• Have steel toe work boots
• 3 years of Diesel Engine Repair experience
• 3 years of Mechanical Knowledge

Responsibilities

• Inspect/repair brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of trucks
• Repair experience with various CAT earthmoving and other related heavy equipment
• Use different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists, jacks, to repair trucks while constantly utilizing safety procedures
• Perform routine heavy equipment maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts
• Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devices such as motor analyzers and handheld computers to determine how to address problems
