PIRTEK is hiring for a Hydraulic Hose Service & Sales Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in varying environmental conditions. This is a messy job that requires manual labor and on-call hours (on-call and incentive pay based on monthly sales targets), so dedication and grit are essential. We are looking for highly driven and self-sufficient individuals with excellent communication and customer service skills. Hydraulic and industrial hose experience is NOT required! Each Hydraulic Hose Service & Sales Technician is provided complete training on industry knowledge, PIRTEK processes, safety standards, and how to operate your purpose-built mobile service unit. PIRTEK also provides support through a 24/7 hotline for Technicians to ask technical questions. You will be operating out of a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center in a purpose-built mobile service unit – a workshop-van that is outfitted with all the machinery needed to cut and crimp hydraulic hose and fittings. Tech will supply their own hand tools or owner will stipend the new employees to purchase their hand tools in support of their onboarding. As a Mobile Sales and Service Technician, you will be helping a small business owner grow their local business and enjoy a career where no two days are the same. You will also be provided a company vehicle to use while commuting to and from work. PIRTEK franchises are locally owned and operated by people interested in your success. Many Mobile Sales and Service Technicians go on to become Operation Managers, Business Managers, and even Franchise Owners themselves. This franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. Your application will go directly to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this franchisee. Requirements

Sit, stand, kneel, bend, and/or stoop from moderate to extended periods
Safely use ladders, step-ups, stairs, etc.
Mechanically inclined – consistent use of hand tools & specialized equipment is required
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to navigate through customer objections to identify needs and execute sales
Self-motivated & positive attitude through difficult jobs
Able to work individually and as a team
Lift up to 50 pounds
Can safely & lawfully drive a large work van
High School diploma or GED
Driver’s License with clean driving record

Nice To Haves

Experience in industrial development & construction, automobile/ marine/ field mechanics, or a related industry is a plus
Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

Adhere to all industry and PIRTEK safety standards
Carry out service calls & sales visits in your local area, expected make sales calls when not servicing equipment
Identify faulty hoses and/ or hose assemblies to service the customers’ needs
Remove worn or broken hoses before fabricating and installing the new replacement
Ensure oil spills/ environmental contaminants, due to hose failure and/ or repair, are cleaned or contained to the customer’s satisfaction (as well as federal, state, and local regulations)
Input service details into the online database to create accurate invoices
Develop relationships with new and existing customers
Maintain mobile service unit, tools, and equipment
Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues on-site and conducting frequent follow-up visits
Participate in the rotating On-Call schedule
Perform other related duties as assigned
