About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Summer Intern to join our Mobile Robots team. In this role, you will shadow mechatronics engineers involved in VNA and Pantograph vehicle design, gaining hands‑on exposure to the full mechatronic development lifecycle. You will support the installation of design features on prototype vehicles and assist with test setup, execution, and teardown activities. The intern will generate test reports, support documentation efforts, and edit CAD drawings, while contributing to mechatronic development activities for vehicle features throughout the design cycle. This internship offers practical experience working with prototype vehicles, cross‑functional engineering teams, and real‑world robotics hardware development. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $19.00 - $23.00 per hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Basic understanding of simple tools, machinery, and electrical/control systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
  • Effective written communication skills for technical documentation.
