The Mobile Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the fleet for clients and to handle service calls and preventative maintenance at customer designated locations. Provide service to customers, maintaining exceptional customer service. Duties can include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments, installation with the help of proper manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts re-use evaluation and re-conditioning. Conduct diesel equipment repairs and preventive maintenance requirements, correct vehicle deficiencies, adjust and alignments. Must be capable of performing most of the required service and repairs on a variety of trucks and equipment while operating out of a mobile vehicle. Works with the assistance of diagnostic software when performing highly technical or intricate diagnostic type repairs. HLAs – HIGH LEVERAGE ACTIVITIES (focus actions that will return the highest impact) · Manage mobile service vehicle maintaining working parts inventory on field truck and re-stocking the truck as needed. Truck must be stocked to handle normal work requests. · Perform vehicle maintenance from a mobile vehicle at customer designated locations, determining vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts, focusing on safety, quality, and customer up time. · Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs with minimal supervision correcting vehicle deficiencies and adjusting and alignments as needed.
