About The Position

Arcosa Lightweight is searching for a Mobile Equipment Operator for our Frazier Park, CA plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture, activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Mobile Equipment Operator you will operate a variety of mobile equipment or yard vehicles in order to move materials and products. Arcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.

Requirements

  • The ability to frequently stand, stoop, bend, climb stairs, and reach around equipment to make adjustments and repairs
  • Ability to sit and work for up to 12 hours per day, and lift weights up to 60 pounds
  • Manual dexterity to use small hand tools and power tools for minor repairs and adjustments
  • The ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • Willingness and ability to work some weekends and evenings

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year equipment operating experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
  • Operate at least 2 pieces of mobile equipment in quarry or production, such as haul truck, farm tractor, water truck, rubber tier backhoe, front end loader, lift truck, crane, track mobile, driller/auger, excavator
  • Move materials and products between work stations and/or receiving and storage locations
  • Perform dispatch duties
  • Keep truck scale and load out areas clean
  • Ensure proper identification of parts and materials
  • Provide updates to crusher operator on current bin status and material quality
  • Cross-train on other positions in plant as necessary
  • Attend safety committees or initiatives as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
