About The Position

Overview We are looking for a Plant Mechanic for our Miami/Fort Lauderdale Maintenance Shop. The Plant Mechanic is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the maintenance and repair of various types of heavy equipment in the Company’s shop or at the Plant. Their duty is to assist with the Plants daily operational efficiency and to be proactive with preventative maintenance. This position ensures compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for safe, environmentally sound maintenance activities.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 2 to 5 years’ experience as a mechanic working on manufacturing or heavy equipment.
• Able to speak clearly and listen attentively
• Able to work 12 hr. plus shifts as needed.
• Able to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb to heights of at least 50 feet frequently.
• Able to speak clearly and listen attentively
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors with exposure to high and low temperatures and other outdoor environmental conditions.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and OT.

Nice To Haves

• Have a current Commercial Driver's License, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical maintenance, including repairs and lubrication.
• Report equipment breakdowns to generate work orders.
• Prepare work orders
• Keeps the equipment being operated, clean and safe.
