About The Position

The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Mobile Equipment and Plant Operator to work at our Lexington, NC location. The Mobile Equipment and Plant Operator is responsible for plant operations and maintenance in addition to raw material and finished product staging. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy mobile equipment and knowledge or willing to train in plant maintenance and plant operations.

Requirements

Ability to operate heavy mobile equipment and plant
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify mechanical malfunctions
Ability to weld and burn
Knowledge of or willing to train in plant equipment, conveyor systems, screens, and crushers
Knowledge of materials and appropriate safety procedures
Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors, tolerate multiple terrain and environmental variations
Good communication and radio skills

Responsibilities

Operate mobile equipment (end loader) to feed plant & maintain stockpiles
Operate equipment to load customer trucks
Perform pre and post-operation inspections of plant and mobile equipment
Assist with diagnosing and repair equipment malfunctions
Ensure preventive maintenance and repairs are made on the plant, secondary structures, related maintenance tools, and safety equipment.
Manage the startup and shut down process for the plant, conveyors, and related components
Maintain housekeeping of yard and plant
Maintain and monitor feed materials and finished product
Monitor stockpiles to ensure product quality and the plant to ensure proper operations
Compile with all safety and environmental regulations and policies
Adjust the plant, based on production and plant performance data
Maintain records and logs
Check stockpile to ensure product quality and mix material to desired consistency
Perform other projects as assigned by supervisor
