About The Position

UnityPoint Health is seeking compassionate and resilient individuals to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team. As a Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor, you will provide on-site support and consultation to clients experiencing mental health crises in community or home settings. This role is vital in helping individuals achieve stability during critical moments. Current openings & locations: (2) Garner & Britt, IA - The shifts range from 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a daily. Requirements

Must meet one of the following: Mental health professional as defined in Iowa Code section 228.1
Bachelor’s degree; or Associate’s degree; or High school diploma
Mental health professional: 1 year of mental health experience
Bachelor’s in human services: 1 year
Bachelor’s in non-human services: 2 years
Associate’s degree: 2 years
High school diploma: 2 years
Valid driver’s license and compliance with Eyerly Ball’s auto insurance policy
Must pass criminal records and dependent adult/child abuse checks

Responsibilities

Deliver immediate intervention and support to clients in crisis at the location where the crisis is occurring
Complete all required data entry and documentation in accordance with agency policy
Be reachable by phone and ready to respond within a 1-hour radius, coordinating with your on-call partner
Uphold UnityPoint Health values, maintain required certifications, and adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines
