F & B Stand and Mobile Cart Breaker
About The Position
Mile High Flea Market, Denver’s oldest and favorite flea market for over 40 years, is seeking dependable and adaptable team members to support our concessions operations as a Mobile Cart / Stand Breaker. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can quickly step into different environments, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. Position Summary The Mobile Cart / Stand Breaker is responsible for providing coverage for concessions team members during scheduled breaks and lunches. In this role, you will rotate between mobile carts and concession stands, temporarily taking over operations and ensuring a seamless guest experience. You will be expected to quickly step into each location, manage all responsibilities independently, and maintain consistent service standards until the team member returns.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license required
- Previous food service or cash handling experience required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to different workstations and teams
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors
- Full weekend availability required
- TIPS Certification required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and accountability
- Flexible and adaptable mindset
- Reliable and self-motivated
Nice To Haves
- Food Handler Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Responsibilities
- Provide break and lunch coverage for concession stands and mobile food carts
- Take over full operation of assigned location during coverage periods
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting and assisting guests
- Prepare and serve menu items including hot dogs, burritos, snacks, beverages, and alcohol
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards
- Verify IDs and ensure compliance with alcohol laws
- Upsell menu items and promote combo meals
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of each location
- Transition smoothly between locations while maintaining operational consistency
